We Understand
Walking into a chiropractor’s office for the first time can feel like a leap – especially if you’re not quite sure what’s going to happen, whether it’ll hurt, or what you’re signing up for. So let’s take the mystery out of it.

Before you arrive
A little prep makes the day go smoothly. Please bring:
A photo ID and your insurance card (if you’re using insurance)
A list of any medications or supplements you’re taking
Any relevant imaging or records – prior X-rays, MRIs, or referral notes, if you have them
Comfortable clothing you can move easily in
Plan to set aside about [45–60 minutes] for this first appointment. It’s longer than your typical visit because we’re getting to know you – there’s no rushing the part where we actually understand what’s going on.
When you arrive
You’ll be greeted by name and welcomed in—no sterile waiting-room shuffle. We’ll get your paperwork squared away (or confirm the forms you filled out online), and then you’ll sit down with the doctor for a real conversation.
The consultation
This is where we listen. The doctor will ask about what brought you in—the pain, the stiffness, the headaches, the thing that finally made you pick up the phone—along with your health history, your daily routine, and your goals. The more we understand about your life, the better we can help. There are no wrong answers here, and nothing you mention is too small to matter.
The exam
Next comes a thorough physical evaluation. Depending on what we find and what’s medically appropriate, this may include posture and movement assessments, orthopedic and neurological testing, and if it’s warranted, X-rays taken right here. We only image what’s medically necessary, and we never X-ray babies or expectant mothers.
Reviewing your findings
Here’s the part a lot of offices skip: we sit down and explain what we found in plain English. You’ll see and understand what’s going on with your spine, what’s likely causing your symptoms, and what your options are. You’ll leave knowing where you stand – not with a vague promise and a stack of appointment cards.
